The National Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA), which gauges Brazil’s official inflation, stood at 0.19% in August this year. The rate had been reported at 0.24% in July this year and 0.44% in August last year.
According to data released today (Sep 6) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the accumulated rate is up 1.62% this year, and 2.46% in the 12-month period.
