Brazilian state-controlled oil giant Petrobras reported having received back over $246 million  thus far ever since Operation Car Wash started. A note was released Monday (Oct. 30).

On Friday (27) the firm was returned approximately $25 million from British Rolls Royce, which entered a leniency deal with federal prosecutors in Brazil as part of Car Wash. Other plea bargain deals, the note adds, led to the return of another $1.8 million to the coffers of Petrobras, from former Petrobras International Director Nestor Cerveró and Sérgio Machado, former president of the company's transport subsidiary, Transpetro.

“Petrobras will remain taking legal measures against companies and individuals, including former employees and politicians, which have caused damage to the company's image,” the text reads.

Petrobras, along with federal prosecutors and federal government officials, is the author of 13 misconduct cases currently under progress, in addition to having co-authored some 41 criminal cases.
