The National Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA), which measures Brazil’s official inflation, stood at 0.09% in March. The rate is bellow February (0.32%) and March last year (0.25%). This is the lowest percentage for March since the Real Plan was introduced, in 1994.
The IPCA also shows an accumulated 0.70% rate year-to-date, and 2,68% March on March. The figures were released today (10) in Rio de Janeiro by the Brazilian Geography and Statistics Institute (IBGE).
