The production of Petrobras and its partners reached 3.34 barrels of oil equivalent per day (oil and natural gas considered together), which represents an eight percent growth from September. Of this total, 3.18 million barrels were extracted in domestic fields.

The figures were published by Petrobras, which attributed the output increase to FPSO P-69 (floating oil and natural gas production, storage,  and transfer unit), recently brought into operation, in the Extreme South of the Lula field, in the pre-salt layer of the Santos bay.

Petrobras reported that the total oil and gas production in October (including natural gas liquids, NGLs) of the fields administered exclusively by the state-run firm, stood at 2.66 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, 2.54 million of which produced in Brazil, and 119 thousand overseas.

Another factor contributing to the eight percent increase was the fact that there were no more scheduled stops for maintenance at platforms P-57, in the Jubarte field; P-52, in the Roncador field; and P-25 and P-31, in the Albacora field, in the Campos bay.
