In an official visit to Brazil, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden visited Centro Integrado 18 de Maio in Brasília, a charity that provides care to sexually abused and exploited children.

The royal couple was welcomed at the charity by the Federal District's First Lady Márcia Rollemberg. They toured the facilities, which include psychosocial care rooms, specially decorated children's rooms, technical staff areas and police report services.

The center's approaches were inspired by the World Childhood Foundation, an international children's rights organization founded in 1999 by Queen Sylvia, whose mother was Brazilian.

The visitors watched arts performances there.
