President Michel Temer sanctioned law that allows the Brazilian government to release $950 million from the National Treasury, to pay for its participation in programs and activities from international organizations.

Among entities receiving these funds, there are the Global Fund for the Environment; the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI); the Pan American Foot-and-Mouth Center and even the United Nations (UN).

Resources will be also allocated to Mercosur; Kyoto Protocol; Organization of American States (OAS); United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO); World Health Organization (WHO); International Organization for Migration (IOM); Union of South American Nations; Pan American Health Organization (PAHO); International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); World Trade Organization (WTO); International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Latin American Integration Association (LAIA).
