Federal judge Ricardo Leite, from the 10th Federal Court in Brasilia, ruled today (25) the seizure of the passport of former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, which prevents him from leaving the country.

The measure was taken at request of federal prosecutors due to a trip the former President would take this Friday (Jan. 26) to Ethiopia to attend an event of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
