Habeas petition denied, Brazil ex-President Lula to report to police

The former leader will have to report to the authorities by 5 pm this

Justice Félix Fischer, of the Superior Court of Justice, denied the habeas corpus petition filed by former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s attorneys. His counsel wished to reverse the arrest order signed by Federal Judge Sérgio Moro.

In compliance with Moro’s ruling, the former leader will have to report to the Federal Police by 5 pm this Friday (Apr. 6).
