President Bolsonaro goes on official trip to India
He was specially invited to the country’s Republic Day celebrations

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is flying this morning (Jan. 23) to India, where he will be a special guest at the country’s Republic Day celebrations next Sunday (26). The visit will include the signing of bilateral deals on online security, bioenergy, and health care.
The president, his entourage, and five ministers should arrive in New Delhi at around 4 pm, local time, on Friday (24). No official engagements have been scheduled for this day.
On the following day (25), the Brazilian leader has state visits with Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the signing of agreements and press statements. Bolsonaro is also expected to visit the memorial built in honor of Indian pacifist Mahatma Gandhi. On Sunday (26), the Brazilian president will attend Republic Day festivities.
Bolsonaro will have breakfast with Indian investors on Monday (27), when he is expected to unveil business opportunities in Brazil, with a focus on investment in infrastructure. Next, the Brazilian entourage proceeds to Agra, home to the famous mausoleum Taj Mahal, one of India’s most important monuments. This will be Bolsonaro’s last official engagement. After that, he takes the plane back to Brazil, where he is expected to arrive on Tuesday (28). No estimated time of return has been announced.
