Federal Judge Antonio Ivan Athié today (Mar. 25) ruled th release of former Brazilian President Michel Temer, ex-minister Moreira Franco and six other people as part of an operation launched Thursday (21) by the Federal Police and federal prosecutors.
Former Brazilian President Michel Temer was arrested this morning (Mar. 21) in São Paulo. The information has been confirmed by the Federal Police. Temer is being taken to the Guarulhos Airport, where is to take off to Rio de Janeiro.
Authorities in the Brazilian state of Goiás confirmed that a state court has accepted a motion from a state prosecutor ordering the arrest of Goiás-born psychic João Teixeira de Faria, also known as João de Deus. He has been targeted by sexual abuse allegations.
The defense attorneys of former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Friday (Apr. 6) filed a habeas corpus request with the Superior Court of Justice, arguing there are still appeals to be considered by a federal appellate court. Lula’s arrest was ruled Thursday.
