“Meat lovers should see an increase in animal protein on the Brazilian table, especially our beloved barbecue, which is not just a meal, but part of our culture,” the head of supply authority Conab, Edegar Pretto, said in a radio interview for A Voz do Brasil.
A Conab’s survey says Brazil should produce 36.4 million tons of sugar, an increase of 4.1% over the 2021/22 harvest. As for ethanol, an expansion of 4.2% is expected.
According to the head of the National Supply Company Guilherme Ribeiro, Mato Grosso is the main producer of grains, with an estimated production of 89 million tons.
Volume represents an increase of around 5.7 million bags compared to the previous cycle, estimates the National Supply Company (Conab).
But, the adverse weather conditions should take their toll more severely on the Arabica variety, which should not reach its full productive potential in 2022.
