Only the top two teams in the group stage will advance to the Libertadores Round of 16. The third-placed team will compete in this year's Copa Sudamericana.
This marks the fourth continental championship for the Brazilian team, who previously claimed victory in 2017 (in partnership with Audax), 2019, and 2021.
This will be the second all-Brazilian final in the history of the continental competition, following Corinthians' second victory in the Women's Libertadores in 2019.
In the competition, to be held in Colombia from October 5–21, Brazil will be represented by Corinthians, Palmeiras, and Internacional, the South American Football Confederation announced.
There are seven Brazilian teams in the competition. Current Libertadores champion Flamengo is in Group A, which also includes Racing (Argentina), Aucas (Ecuador), and Ñublense (Chile).
