Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga spoke to journalists on Monday (Feb. 21) and reiterated the importance of completing full vaccination cycle against COVID-19 including the booster dose.
The numbers were released on Sunday (Feb. 20) - National Day to Combat Drugs and Alcoholism - as a form of alert for what the ministry classified as "a global problem".
Coronavac will cost approximately $10 a dose, requiring two doses per person to be vaccinated.
There are also 705,020 people being monitored and another 2,848,395 who have recovered from the disease.
The lethality rate (number of deaths divided by the case tally) stood at 3.2 percent. Mortality (deaths in every 100 thousand people) reached 52.3. The incidence of COVID-19 cases in every 100 thousand people is 1,621.4
