According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the mission is already working "in a phased and continuous manner". The aid began with the arrival of two aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
Around six tons of equipment has been sent to Turkey to support the teams during their work, as well as four sniffer dogs to help locate the victims of the earthquake.
The Brazilian government is also supporting the country through the National Risk and Disaster Management Center (Cenad) and the National Space Research Institute (Inpe), which continue to collaborate in the process of putting together maps with satellite images of Beirut for emergency post-disaster mapping activities.
The Brazilian government to dispatch two Hercules C-130 airplanes of the Brazilian Air Force to Mozambique with humanitarian aid. The decision was made alongside the International Interministerial Work Group, spearheaded by Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Relations.
