Brazil elected to UN Economic and Social Council

Brazil is among the 18 countries elected Wednesday (Jun. 13) to United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Council. The country received 177 votes. Ecosoc has 54 state members, elected by the UN General Assembly for three-year terms.
