Brazil’s head coach Tite said Thursday (Jul. 5) he predicts “a great game” against Belgium, a team “with a really strong creative power,” in the quarter finals of the World Cup.
After a tie in its opener with Switzerland and a hard-fought win over Costa Rica, the Brazilian squad beat the Serbians 2-0 in Moscow, with goals by Paulinho and Thiago Silva.
Brazil’s first World Cup win came late in the match, in a rather dramatic fashion. After 90 minutes trying to break through Costa Rica’s defense, the Brazilian squad only managed to score in the stoppage time.
Before the last training session preceding Brazil’s second World Cup match, coach Tite today (Jun. 21) announced the line-up to face Costa Rica, in St. Petersburg.
With Neymar back in the field, the Brazilian squad held another training session Monday (Jun. 20) at the Slava Metreveli stadium, in Sochi.
