One out of five young people aged 15–29 were in this situation in 2023—9.6 mi youths. Conversely, 15.3% of youths worked and studied, 39.4% only worked, and 25.5% only studied.
Of young people aged 18–24, they add up to 36% percent. The 2022 Education at a Glance report surveyed 34 OECD nations, plus Brazil, South Africa, and Argentina.
Focusing on 20–29-year-olds, Brazil’s Health Ministry started today (Nov. 18) the second stage of its national campaign against measles. Some 9.4 million Brazilians are estimated to make up this age group.
