After taking part in the operation against the Aedes aegypti mosquito in Rio de Janeiro, President Dilma Roussef arrived in Brasília and headed towards the national room for coordination and control actions to combat dengue, chikungunya, and zika virus.

"The action notched up a success, but it is only the beginning. I have absolute confidence in our people," said the president.

Representatives from all ministries engaged in combating the Aedes aegypti, vector of the three diseases, gathered in the room to perform joint actions among federal, state, and municipal governments. Each state has a similar room to communicate once a week with national representatives in order to resolve doubts, solve problems, and exchange data. "We need a joint action," said Marcos Quito, coordinator of the national room.
