President Dilma Rousseff discharged five ministers on Thursday (Apr. 14), four among whom hold seats in the Chamber of Deputies and are going to resume their Congress roles so that they can vote against impeachment on the floor of the Chamber of Deputies on Sunday (17).

Three of the five ministers are members of the PMDB, the party chaired by Vice-President Michel Temer, which left the governing coalition: Mauro Lopes (Civil Aviation), Celso Pansera (Science, Technology and Innovation), and Marcelo Castro (Health).

In addition to them, the president has also accepted the resignation of Agrarian Development Minister Patrus Ananias, from the ruling Workers' Party (PT).

The Minister for National Integration, Gilberto Occhi, has also resigned after his party, the PP, decided to leave the governing coalition and support the impeachment of President Rousseff.
