Wagner Moura to be among presenters of 2026 Oscars
Wagner Moura will be one of the presenters at the 2026 Oscars. The announcement was made Wednesday (Mar. 11) by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which organizes the awards. The ceremony is slated to take place next Sunday (Mar. 15).

The Brazilian actor is nominated for Best Actor for Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent. The film is also nominated under the categories of Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, and Best Casting.

The list of film professionals who will take the stage at the ceremony to announce the awards includes renowned stars such as Nicole Kidman, who won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in Stephen Daldry’s The Hours (2002).

In Brazil, expectations for the Oscars are high after Brazil won the Best International Feature Film award in 2025 for Walter Salles’ I’m Still Here.
The Secret Agent has also collected awards this season – including the Palme d’Or for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival and the Golden Globe for Best Non-English Language Film. At both awards ceremonies, Wagner Moura was also honored as best actor.
