Brazil’s Statistics Institute: 2013 industrial production grew in 11 states
Among the highest-ranking states are Rio Grande do Sul (6,8%), Paraná

Industrial production rates rose in 11 out of the 13 states surveyed by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (“IBGE”) in 2013. Among the highest-ranking ones are Rio Grande do Sul (6,8%), Paraná (5,6%), Goiás (5%) and Bahia (3,8%)

Three states presented lower industrial production rates: Espírito Santo (-6,7%), Pará (-4,9%) and Minas Gerais (-1,3%).
Compared to December 2012, eight states showed a decrease in their production. The highest growth rate was that of Rio Grande do Sul (11%), and the lowest Minas Gerais (7.2%).
