Rousseff says fiscal adjustments are cyclical
President Dilma Rousseff said on Tuesday in Goiana, in Pernambuco state, that the fiscal adjustments are cyclical and necessary, and that the government is resolved to implement them in order to promote market expansion and improve infrastructure.
According to the president, the government has been working to ensure the expansion in demand and production. “We're not ignoring the difficulties and the slowdown Brazil's currently facing, but, with the certainty of the commitment and the effort of my administration we'll work to improve the foundations in a bid to guarantee the growth of the demand as well as the social and regional development of the country.”
In a speech delivered during the inauguration ceremony of an industrial center of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where Jeep vehicles are to be built, Rousseff said she seeks to create a more favorable business environment to the Brazilian industry. “I'm talking about all the companies that have chosen or choose Brazil as headquarters for their products, for the development of their production, and also for the development of their technology. All companies are very welcome.”
The factory will target markets in both Brazil and abroad. The model to be manufactured in Goiana should have a nationalization rate of over 70%, but the goal is to reach 80%. By the end of the year, the factory is expected to recruit over 9 thousand workers.
