Brazil’s national soccer team coach, Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, said Brazil will deliver a very high-level FIFA World Cup campaign. He made the remarks to CBF TV as the countdown marked 100 days until the start of the next Men’s World Cup, which will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

“It is a joy to have time to prepare for this important event for Brazil. It is a great motivation and a great responsibility to try to do our best. I am sure we will have a very high-level World Cup,” Ancelotti stated.

During the interview, the Italian coach made it clear that he is still evaluating the players who could be part of the squad representing Brazil at the World Cup: “We have been planning the logistics - the training center and the hotel arrangements - and now we need to assess the players who are playing, those who are injured, and those who are recovering. This is a period of observation. We also need to perform well in the friendlies against France and Croatia and monitor the matches of players who could be in the squad for the World Cup in June.”

Preparatory friendlies

Before the World Cup begins, the Brazilian national team will play two preparatory friendlies. The first takes place on March 26, against France, currently third in the FIFA rankings, at Gillette Stadium in Boston. On March 31, Brazil will face Croatia at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

On June 6, a week before Brazil’s World Cup debut, the team will play its final friendly against Egypt. The match will take place at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.

Brazil in the World Cup

Brazil is in Group C of the 2026 World Cup. Its first match will be against Morocco on June 13 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, followed by a game against Haiti at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The final group-stage match, scheduled for June 24, will be against Scotland at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
