Police take action against arms and drug trafficking in four states

Civilian Police Serve 45 Search and Seizure Warrants

Civil police officers are currently carrying out (1st) operation against a criminal organization specializing in drug and arms trafficking. The 45 search and seizure warrants of Operation Money Trail are being carried out in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul.

According to the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, money laundering and crimes against financial institutions are also investigated. The operation, carried out in partnership with the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of Rio, has the support of the Secretariat of Integrated Operations of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

The warrants were issued by the 1st Specialized Criminal Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, based on investigations by the Specialized Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives (Disarm) of the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police.
