Congonhas Airport, in southern São Paulo city, is still facing delays this morning (Oct 10) due to an accident that occurred Sunday afternoon (9). The landing tire of a small plane burst and kept the main runway blocked until 10:18 pm, despite the efforts of teams from the national airport infrastructure authority Infraero.
As a result, yesterday alone, 73 outbound and 67 inbound flights were canceled. This morning, the airport continues to operate with difficulties, and dozens of flights—including departures and arrivals—have been canceled or delayed.
