Federal Police launch nationwide crackdown on child abuse
In a joint crackdown with the civil police forces of 16 states, Brazil’s Federal Police on Wednesday (Oct. 8) launched National Operation Full Protection III, aimed at identifying identify suspects involved in crimes of sexual abuse of children and adolescents, especially those committed online. Participating in the operation are 617 federal police officers and 273 civil police agents.

In a statement, the corporation reported the simultaneous execution of 182 search-and-seizure warrants and 11 preventive arrest warrants across Brazil.
The Federal Police report that 19 arrests have been made in flagrante delicto, two minors have been apprehended, and one victim has been rescued.
Integration
“The action reinforces the integration between federal and state police forces and demonstrates their joint commitment to protecting children and adolescents. Operation Full Protection III continues the work of previous editions, launched in March and May 2025, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the Federal Police on this front,” the Federal Police stated.
Data from the corporation indicate that, from January to September this year, over 1,630 arrest warrants were served on fugitives convicted of sexual crimes.
