Organizations from over 60 countries have signed up to write the document that will be submitted for negotiation with G20 governments until November, when their next summit will take place in Rio.
Foreign ministers also called for an overhaul of the UN Security Council. The highlights of the assembly were disclosed by Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira at the end of the gathering in Rio de Janeiro.
“The US and Brazil are doing so many important things together. We’re working together bilaterally, regionally, globally. It’s a very important partnership,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken declared.
