Integrated Force II targets criminal gangs in 16 Brazilian states

Brazil’s Federal Police on Tuesday (May 12) launched Operation Integrated Force II to combat criminal factions involved in drug and arms trafficking and money laundering. The operation is taking place in 16 Brazilian states and aims to execute 165 search and seizure and 71 arrest warrants.

The operation mobilizes police officers from the Integrated Forces for Combating Organized Crime (FICCO) of the Public Security Ministry, operating jointly under the coordination of the Federal Police.

Created based on the task force concept, the FICCO aim to strengthen the fight against criminal organizations through the integration of federal, state, and municipal public security institutions.
