Brazilian President Michel Temer will continue to rest after a surgery carried out Wednesday (13) for a narrowing of his urethra, which had been causing urinary difficulties. An official note says Temer is to remain in São Paulo until tomorrow.

Doctors at Hospital Sírio-Libanês said the president is recovering well from the procedure.

Recovery time is reported to take up to 48 hours. Resuming his activities early could lead to further discomfort, as the president still needs his probe, the medical staff declared.
