A national registry will gather people convicted of crimes related to pedophilia. On Monday (6), the Public Security Commission of the Chamber of Deputies approved the bill that creates this registry.

The data will be collected by the National Council of Justice (CNJ). In addition to the information, the form will contain a photo of the convict.

Among the crimes are rape of the vulnerable; corruption of minors; sexual exploitation of children, adolescents or vulnerable people; and offenses committed by digital means, such as producing, storing, disclosing or exhibiting sex videos involving children or adolescents.

The matter is authored by deputy Nivaldo Albuquerque (PTB-AL) and will be analyzed by the Social Security and Family and Constitution and Justice and Citizenship committees (CCJ). As it is conclusive, once approved, it will not go to plenary.
