Military agents from National Force wounded in Rio favela

National Force agents were injured by shots Wednesday (Aug. 10) in the Complexo da Maré favela, in Rio de Janeiro. According to the Justice Ministry, the agents entered the area by mistake and were met with shots. One of the military men has been hospitalized and is severely wounded.

Colonel Alexandre Aragon, head of the National Security Force, paid him a visit at the hospital.

The Civil Police reported that an inquiry is being conducted at the scene.
