COVID-19: Brazil has had 6.16 mi cases, 170 thousand deaths

Thus far, 5,512,847 people have recovered from the disease

The pandemic of the novel coronavirus has led to the infection of 6,166,606 infected since its outset. In 24 hours, 47,898 positive cases were reported.

The figures can be found in the update released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday (Nov. 25), compiled with the data from state health secretariats.

The country’s death toll has reached 170,769. In 24 hours, 654 deaths were registered, slightly above the 630 computed Tuesday.

Also according to the official report, 5,512,847 people have recovered from the disease. There are also 482,990 being monitored.

COVID-19 across the states

The Brazilian states with the highest number of deaths caused by COVID-19 are São Paulo (41,601), Rio de Janeiro (22,256), and Minas Gerais (9.858). Those with the lowest death counts are Acre (721), Roraima (722), Amapá (799), Tocantins (1,153), and Rondônia (1,534).
