COVID-19: Brazil reaches 8.13 mi cases, 203.5 thousand deaths

Patients recovered from the disease add up to over 7.2 million

In Brazil, 203,580 people have lost their lives due to the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, after 480 new deaths were added from Monday to Tuesday. There are also 2,633 fatalities in investigation, according to the latest update released by the Ministry of Health Monday (Jan. 11).

The number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 8,131,612. In 24 hours, health authorities reported another 25,822 positive diagnoses.

There are 720 people with active cases being monitored and 7,207,483 people recovered from the disease.

States

Atop the list with Brazilian states with the highest death tolls is São Paulo (48,379), followed by Rio de Janeiro (26,771), Minas Gerais (12,736), Ceará (10,160), and Pernambuco (9,851).

The states with the lowest amount of deaths are Roraima (793), Acre (826), Amapá (976), Tocantins (1,274), and Rondônia (1,926).
