COVID-19: Brazil reports 19.4 mi cases, 545.6k deaths
People recovered from the disease now total 18,206,173

The total number of people infected with the novel coronavirus has reached 19,473,954 in Brazil. From Tuesday to Wednesday, 54,517 new positive diagnoses for COVID-19 were registered.
Thus far, the pandemic has claimed 545,604 victims that did not resist COVID-19. In 24 hours, state secretariats confirmed another 1,424 deaths. The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 now stand at 18,206,173.
The data were released on Wednesday (Jul. 21) by the country’s Health Ministry in its daily update combining figures collected by state health secretariats on cases and deaths linked to COVID-19.
Atop the ranking of Brazilian states with the highest death tolls for COVID-19 stand São Paulo (135,973), Rio de Janeiro (57,856), Minas Gerais (49,233), Paraná (33,992), and Rio Grande do Sul (32,831).
Those with the lowest death counts are Acre (1,791), Roraima (1,823), Amapá (1,887), Tocantins (3,429), and Alagoas (5,685).
