COVID-19: Brazil registers 164 thousand new cases and 943 fatalities

Over 370 million doses of vaccine have been administered

The number of people infected by COVID-19 has exceeded 27 million. With 164,066 new positive diagnoses in 24 hours, the total number of Brazilians infected with the coronavirus reached 27,119,500.

Patients being monitored for COVID-19 total 3,036,634. The term is used to designate cases of patients reported in the last 14 days that were not discharged since they still require medical care.

Deaths caused by COVID-19 have reached 636,017. In 24 hours, 943 fatalities were recorded by health authorities.

Vaccination

Until Thursday (Feb. 10), 370.9 million shots of the vaccine against COVID-19 had been administered in the country, 168.6 million received the first dose, and 153.9 million the second or single dose. Over 44 million have received the booster shot.
