Over 1.8 million children and adolescents in Brazil labor market

In 2016, of a total 40.1 million children and adolescents aged 5 through 17, 1.8 million were active in the labor market. The level of employment in this portion of the population reached 4.6%—a group chiefly formed by 14 to 17-year-olds.
