The advisor to the Ministry of Economy also commented on the growth of the Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which stood at 4.6 percent last year.
The forecast inflation was raised to 7.9%. The IPCA has been more strongly impacted by fluctuations in the prices of monitored items—goods like gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, and medications.
