A criminal organization with operations in several Brazilian states and an annual turnover of about $860 million worth of contraband was the target of a Federal Police operation on Thursday (Jun. 16).
One in every three Brazilians admits that they have bought contraband at least once, according to a survey by Datafolha Institute released Monday (May 25). At least 40% of respondents said they know how to recognize an illegal item.
