Head of the Superior Electoral Court Alexandre de Moraes said voters have shown their confidence in the Electoral Justice, and in the electronic ballot boxes.
“On behalf of Brazil, I show respect for the Inter-American Democratic Charter and its values, principles, and mechanisms,”Brazil’s Defense Minister said.
The head of the country’s highest court also stated that respect for the Constitution, the law, and freedom of press must stand above any electoral outcome.
Justice Luiz Fux said, “After a challenging year, democracy has won, as it convinced Brazilian of its important role in the exercise of its liberties and equality.”
