Brazil’s Federal Police on Tuesday (Aug 20) arrested three men accused of spearheading a scheme to illegally take foreigners to the US via São Paulo.
Over 25 thousand work permits were granted to foreigners by the Brazilian government last year. Most workers came from the US—approximately 20 percent of all permits.
Brazil's National Federation of Federal Police reported that foreigners attending political acts this weekend in Brazil can be arrested and expelled from the country.
