“We’re facing a pandemic scenario riddled with uncertainties due to Omicron variety, but we’re expecting hospitalizations will not skyrocket", Health Minister said.
According to the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, this Friday he shall meet with technical staff from the ministry of Health to discuss this matter.
The announcement was made by Minister Queiroga at a press conference on the inclusion of children in the national immunization plan against COVID-19.
The positive case investigated is of a passenger coming from South Africa and who disembarked at the international airport in Guarulhos, São Paulo, on the 23rd.
Queiroga has ruled out, for the time being, the possibility of reducing the five-month interval currently required by the folder for the application of the booster dose of the vaccine against covid-19.
