US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo phoned Brazil’s President-Elect Jair Bolsonaro today (Oct. 29).
The US government agreed to start negotiating a deal on technological safeguards with Brazil for the use of the Alcântara launch base. The information was confirmed today (Jun 4) by Brazil’s Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes, after he met with US State Secretary Mike Pompeo.
US State Secretary Mike Pompeo thanked Brazilian Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira for his role as a leader in the coordination of efforts in finding a “democratic, peaceful, and transparent” solution to the crisis in Venezuela.
