According to the Central Bank, both the spending of Brazilians abroad and the foreigners' income in Brazil are on the way to reaching levels before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brazilians' spending abroad increased in September for the second consecutive month, according to Central Bank's data, released today (Oct. 25) in Brasília. It has reached $1.294 billion, up 2.7% compared with September 2015 ($1.260 billion).
Dollar hikes and a lower income have brought the expenditures of Brazilians in international travel down 62.5% in January, a vacation month, according to Central Bank figures released today (Feb. 23).
