Federal prosecutors have filed charges against eight people with a federal court for involvement with terrorist organizations. They were identified before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as part of Operation Hashtag, launched in July by the Federal Police.
The last of the 12 people suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games was arrested Sunday (Jul. 24) in Comodoro, Mato Grosso, located 656 kilometers from the state capital, Cuiabá.
Another of the 12 Brazilians targeted by the Federal Police's Operation Hashtag over alleged conspiracy to launch terrorist attacks in Brazil was arrested Friday (Jul. 22).
