The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, recalled on Friday (6) that all government ministers are committed to making Brazil grow again and generate jobs. "It is possible to make the economy grow again with great responsibility, with distribution of wealth and income, and generate jobs that guarantee the worker some social security," he said at the opening of the first ministerial meeting.

Lula added that he intends to strengthen the cooperative system, to encourage the micro and small entrepreneur, the small and medium entrepreneur, emphasizing that the worker must have what he classified as "a minimum of social security".

"That he [the worker] has a guarantee of social security, guarantee of registration, guarantee that when he is unable to work, the State will guarantee him a minimum of security, because otherwise we will not have a healthy and sound working world, we will have a world of barbarism," he said.

The meeting at the Planalto Palace ended shortly before 2pm. Then, on Twitter, Lula thanked the team for having accepted the invitation to join the government. "You can count on my support and collection to build a good management for the Brazilian people," he wrote.
