Brazilian athletes on podium at Skateboarding Park World Championship

Augusto Akio wins silver and Pedro Barros bronze in the Arab Emirates

Skateboarders Augusto Akio and Pedro Barros made history for Brazil in the Skateboarding Park World Championship disputed in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates. On Sunday (Feb. 12), Akio scored 92.00 points and won the silver medal. Barros got bronze scoring 90.00 points.

The duo even led the dispute for some moments, but American Jagger Eaton made an excellent turn in the last opportunity and won the gold medal scoring 93.00 points.

In the women's competitions, the Brazilians didn't reach the final and the podium was formed by Sky Brown (British-Japanese), in the highest place, Kokona Hiraki (Japanese) with silver, and Sakura Yosozumi (Japanese), in third place.
