Brazilians' expenditure overseas down 30.39% in July

Brazilians traveling abroad spent a total of $1.677 billion in July, down 30.39% from the year-earlier $2.408 billion, according to data made public today (Aug. 25) by the Central Bank. From January to July, spending amounted to $11.716 billion, compared with $14.851 billion reported for the same period last year.
As for foreign travelers in Brazil, the figure was also seen to reduce, reaching $468 million last month, against $785 million in July, 2014. For January to July this year, expenditure added up to $3.1412 billion, compared with $4.369 billion in 2014.
The results bring the deficit in international travel to $1.209 billion in July, and to $8.205 billion for the first seven months of the year.
