Central Bank: Brazil economy up 1.31% in February
The country's economic activity was down 3.56% in the 12-month period

The Central Bank's Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br), released Monday (Apr. 17), shows a growth of 1.31% in the Brazilian economy for February. Seasonal factors taken into account, the expansion reaches 0.52%.
Compared to February 2016, seasonal factors not considered, the Central Bank posts a 0.73% reduction. Seasonal factors taken into consideration, however, the change is a 0.48% increase.
In the 12-month period ending in February, the economic activity shrank 3.56%, seasonal factors not borne in mind. A reduction of 3.68% is observed if seasonal factors are considered.
