The total amount collected in taxes and federal contributions added up to $29.62 billion in May, down 0.96% from the same period in 2016; As for January-May, the total raised—$165.12 billion—went up 0.35% from the same period last year.

The figures were released today (Jun 20) by the Federal Revenue Service. The growth is real, i.e. it removes the official inflation, reported for the period in the Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA).
