Serie A of the Brazilian Championship will have a busy night this Thursday (9), with the definition of the last teams relegated to the next edition of Serie B, and the last classified for the Libertadores Cup.

Due to its decisive nature, the 38th round of the Brazilian Nationals will have all 10 matches played at the same time, starting at 9:30 pm on Thursday.

One of the disputes that draws the most attention is the one involving candidates for a vacancy in the next edition of Libertadores. Five teams have already secured themselves in the group stage of the competition: Palmeiras (who won the last Libertadores), Atlético-MG (Brazilian champion), Athletico-PR (South American champion), Flamengo, Corinthians and Fortaleza.

With this, there is still a place open for direct classification for the initial phase of the competition. The dispute involves Fluminense (who receives Chapecoense at Maracanã), Bragantino (which measures forces with Internacional), América-MG (which takes on São Paulo) and Atlético-GO (which faces Flamengo). When it comes to Pre-Libertadores, the dispute also involves Ceará (which visits Palmeiras), Santos (opponent of Cuiabá), Internacional and São Paulo.

Another important definition is that of the last two relegated to Serie B. Sport (Athletico-PR's opponent) and Chapecoense have already fallen, and Cuiabá, Bahia (which visits Fortaleza), Juventude (which faces Corinthians) and Grêmio (which faces the champion Atlético-MG) fight to escape the second.
